How Auction Pickup and Delivery Works
Removal windows are short and auction sites are stripped bare. Plan the pickup before you bid.
The Removal Deadline Is the Whole Job
Most auctions give winners a narrow removal window — often one or two days, sometimes a few hours. Miss it and you can forfeit the item or incur storage fees. Arrange transportation as soon as you win, ideally before you bid on anything that requires equipment to move.
What Movers Need From You
Auction jobs run on documentation.
- The auction listing or link and your lot numbers
- Paid invoice or release documentation
- Photos of each lot as it sits
- Approximate dimensions and weight
- Site address, gate or check-in instructions, and the removal deadline
- Delivery address and where the item goes on arrival
What the Site Will Actually Be Like
Assume nothing is available: no dollies, no pallet jack, no help, no loading dock reservation, sometimes no power. Crowded aisles and other buyers working at the same time are normal. A crew that arrives with its own equipment and a plan gets loaded and out quickly.
After Pickup
